Te Arawa Holdings is a wholly owned subsidiary of Te Pūmautanga o Te Arawa Trust, established in 2008 to receive the financial settlement assets of the affiliate iwi / hapū from the settlement of Te Pūmautanga o Te Arawa Trust.
Our purpose is to create intergenerational wealth and opportunity for our affiliate iwi. We achieve this through a diversified investment portfolio of forestry, horticulture, property, tourism and other sectors. Strategic alliances and co-investment will play a pivotal role in our investment strategy, as does a close relationship with our shareholders. Te Arawa Holdings is governed by a board of independent and shareholder directors.
Te Pūmautanga o Te Arawa Trust was formed in 2006 as a post settlement governance entity (PSGE) to receive, hold and manage the assets negotiated on behalf of eleven Te Arawa iwi and hapū (‘the affiliate iwi / hapū’).
Te Pumautanga o Te Arawa represents more than 20,000 registered beneficiaries that affiliate to one or more Te Arawa iwi/hapū.
